Michael Berry

Michael Berry holds a B.A. in Chinese from Rutgers University and is
currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of East Asian Languages &
Cultures at Columbia University. He is a the translator of several
Chinese novels including "Wild Kids: Two Novels About Growing Up" (Columbia University Press;
2000) and has worked as
an interpreter for such clients as General Motors and Lincoln Center. A former musician, Michael studied
electric and electric fretless bass with Dave LaRue (Dixie Dregs, Steve Morse Band) and frequently lends his ears
to the NY jazz scene.
